Hey guys! For everybody's sake, I made all the albums exclusive for my contacts only.

Cheers :D

"It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow." - Robert Goddard

Twilight Saga

Don't worry, I'm not spilling anything here! It's the Twilight frenzy as November 21 get's closer!

"How silly humans were, to let a six-inch height differential confound their happiness."
- Edward Cullen

This line was taken from the the partial draft of Midnight Sun (Edward's perspective of Twilight). When I read this line, I just thought of how many people have denied themselves of happiness because of physical anomalies. It really is true. They worry more about what others would think and concern themselves with the comfort of others rather than fulfill their own happiness. It's not selflessness, it's more like shame.

I'm not the mushy-mushy romantic type but I would definitely want a shared unconditional love with my partner (which, by the way, is the case. haha). Sure, I'll tell you truthfully that it's kind of awkward looking at a girl six inches taller than a guy while they hold hands and make out in public. Let alone a fat dark-skinned girl with an athletic Chinese boy (ehem, h...

Nobody wants to be saved anymore...
Step one, you say we need to talk. He walks, you say sit down it's just a talk. He smiles politely back at you. You stare politely right on through. Some sort of window to your right. As he goes left and you stay right, between the lines of fear and blame. And you begin to wonder why you came. Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend? Somewhere along in the bitterness. And I would have stayed up with you all night. Had I known how to save a life...

Let him know that you know best, cause after all you do know best. Try to slip past his defense, without granting innocence. Lay down a list of what is wrong, the things you've told him all along. And pray to God he hears you. And pray to God he hears you... Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend? Somewhere along in the bitterness. And I would have stayed up with you all night. Had I known how to save a life...

As he begins to raise his voice, you lower yours and grant him one last choice.
My LAST monitoring schedule

This was two weeks delayed because of typhoons Lando (Hagibis) and Mina (Mitag). Remember our infamous island tower? It's been reduced to this tiny trapal-covered deck with only four posts left. All our equipment (basins, hammers, chisels, wires, etc.) were lost to the sea. Even our favorite beach lounge chairs. Tragic. CNUs were covered at least with 4 inches of sand. I lost about 100 fragments probably (including those that died from suffocation).

On the brighter side of things, today was one of the best dives I've had since Mantigue, and that was a looooooong time ago. Vis was about 50ft with the occasional stirring of the sand. And the weather was perfect until about 1pm (it started to rain). We wrapped up things by that time. You'll see pictures of ARs that surround the southeastern tip of the island cay.

Help save the reefs. Help save the ocean. Please. I collected 2 plastic bags floating today and saw a bunch of garbage here and there from CdO's malls. Please please PLEA...

Driving on C5 last week I saw an ad. It said, "October 20, 2007 - National Thank You Day" (or something like that, hehehe).

Have you ever had time to stop and think of all the people and blessings that you have to thank for? I just did. And I'm still trying. I called up some old friends whom I've lost along the busy, tiring life I'm trying to make for myself. And you know what? This busy, tiring life seemed a lot more meaningful after I took that break :D and I found out that a lot of people I called up felt better in hearing my thank-you's.

So I know it's almost 3 days late, but try out the National Thank You Day. It doesn't have to be just one single day every year, but let's try to do it every single day of the year :D And what could you thank for? Just about every single possible reason why you still call these people friends and for those whom you've lost touch, just recall the reason why you called them fr...

Undergrad Thesis - Transplantation Proper - 09.08-09.07

My thesis is about the Growth of Coral Fragments in two different Coral Nursery Units or CNUs (concrete and modified) tied to three different substrates (limestone, concrete and rubble). Basically I'm trying to help figure out the cheapest possible way for locals to be able to conduct a large-scale project for coral transplantation and rehabilitation.

So during the first day, we had to find our "ideal" CNU sites. Sandy bottoms were chosen so that there were not too many predators swimming around. There were three dives for Saturday, 1st: Installation and construction of CNU site 2; 2nd: We were divided into two pairs, Renmar and I went to CNU site 1 to check-up and clean the existing CNUs while JC and Lye went to the Rehab site to check on the deployed fragments; and 3rd: Installation and construction for CNU site 3. For all three dives, we only used one 80 cu ft tank because we were so budgeted :P

During the second day, our first dive consumed one tank, fragmenting and tagging f...

Fun Dive - Spartan's Night Out (June 10-11, 2006)

Mantigue Island, Jigdup Shoal, Cantaan Rock, Lapinig Island, Kabuan (Banaug Shoal). From the eastern side of Camiguin to Mantangale, Balingoan in the north eastern coast of Misamis Oriental. Loads and loads of fun :D The series of shots of water and sky--was trying to catch a dolphin's jump :P One picture caught the dolphin :D But I was tooooooo slow to take a picture of a couple of Riso's that came right up in front of the speedboat while on our way back to the mainland. Sayang!! The dorsals were about 4 feet high, so we were guessing they'd be about 15-20 ft long... haaaaaay...

It was called Spartan's Night Out because we were supposed to be camping at Mantigue Island, but I think it was a storm that made us stay at the resort instead (no problem with that!). Two days, and I think 5 day dives and 1 night dive (please don't tell Sir Mario--you have to be an advanced licensed diver to do that :P) Really really fun :D But the saddest part was, the entire event was supposedly to dive...

They really do enjoy supporting almost everyone around them. You can depend on the reliable Ox. Don't be fooled by their patience and calm demeanor; however, they are achievers. Like the tortoise in the story, they are sure to finish the race and more often than not to come out as the winner. The flip side is their determination often becomes stubbornness, and when they do lose control, their behavior can become almost violent. They are at peace when they can be on their own and do their thing in a familiar environment in a traditional manner.

Positive Traits: Composed, confident, hard working, independent, methodical, persevering, reliable, self reliant, solid, tenacious, thorough, tireless.

Negative Traits: Au...

If this blog weren't about sex, alcohol or love, would you still read it?

I wouldn't. Hahaha. But I'm beginning to realize that most of the blogs that come popping up at my multiply are about the three. And one other rising favorite: boredom.

Are we all really getting bored? Hahaha. (Yes, this is about boredom, actually, sorry for the disappointed few). You go about your everyday life and even though your schedule doesn't meet the required "routine-ness" you actually feel monotonous already. (Yawn). Even blogging is such a boring feat.

I guess this is why people go to such extremes just to be surprised. Extreme biking. Extreme hiking. Extreme diving (sky & water). Extreme drinking. Extreme smoking (:P). Even love-making :P. After all of the extremes you could actually think of, are you even close to satisfaction?

"Human's infinite hunger" as Dr. Gallamaso would put it. I therefore conclude that my boredom comes from this hunger but cannot be satisfied because I am the laziest person I know of. Hahaha. Well, not really, there's still Garfield.
